MY HISTORY
I received my professional training and development from an array of institutions. They include: Vandelae Studios, Pratt Fine Arts Center, Firenze Enterprises, Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, Salmon Bay Sand and Gravel, the Stencil Artisan League, and the Seattle Architectural Finishing Studio. I continue intense studio work, library research, and attending conferences.

MY PASSION
When asked, "Why do you do this?" I simply reply, " ..I love it and it's fun." Creating a space that works, that people love to be in brings me personal satisfaction. I receive as much pleasure from doing work as the finished product gives to my clients. I enjoy developing new relationships. Glancing through various testimonials proves this true. Each job brings challenges that require problem-solving, planning and organization. I enjoy a designer asking, "Can you do this?" ...because I'm able to return with a sample that is exactly what they had in mind." My favorite product to work with is Marmorino venetian plaster. The sound of the trowel scraping in the material is very satisfying. It is easy to fall into a rhythm and just keep going. The work is done in layers and it is always exciting to watch the process as each layer builds upon the next--changing and deepening and finally polishing to a luminescent glow. It's a magical feeling. It takes years to understand all the subtle nuances of the product. Because of my experience, I am able to take advantage of Marmorino's versatility and use it in new and creative ways.
Beaded and wire jewelry is also another craft I participate in.
