Pat Rushon, owner, has a long history as an artisan with a background in custom calligraphy, mosaic furniture, decoupage, collage, wire and beaded jewelry, and hand-painted children's clothing. Pat expanded into surface design in 1997 and began her own business. She started glazing, distressing, and antiquing furniture. Since then, her repertoire has grown to include plasters, gilding, and relief effects. Early in her career, Pat taught classes to end users, sales representatives, and store personnel for Valspar Corporation and McClosky Special Effects. She continues to teach classes for Winslow Paint Company. Throughout the years, Pat has created works of art from Washington to Florida. Her flexibility enables her to accommodate unusual job situations and locations. Other artisans work alongside Pat enabling her to complete large projects. When employing crews, she is always present to supervise the work and ensure that it is completed according to her specifications.
